It was another non-motorcycle day, mostly. Krissy had to head for work and because she works and stays out-of-town I won’t see her until we get together again. I had a list of things I needed to do before my planned departure tomorrow so Dan drove me around to check off those boxes.
The first was to the Frick art museum at Frick Park. Frick was an industrialist involved with the steel industry here and became extremely wealthy. He became interested in art and began collecting in the late-1800s and they recently opened a new exhibition from that collection. While the highlights were Vermeer, Rembrandt, and Monet, there lots of other names in the collection like El Greco, Turner, and Degas. Here are some photos from our visit. First, we toured the vintage car and carriage collection that held the vehicle that the Frick's owned.
We also walked around the grounds where they have Frick’s home, The Clayton, and a nice greenhouse.
Then to the museum.
Some photos representative of what we saw.
I sorted out some of the stuff on my side cases and packed in the food I bought at REI. I am pretty much ready for tomorrow’s departure.
Poor Daisy the Dog was feeling neglected so we went on a 2-mile walk with her. One stop was to an ATM for me and then to a nearby park for Daisy.
It was another great day.
