Well, it’s the last day of this adventure and as much fun as riding the twisty roads can be, we have had our fill and ready to head back to Pittsburgh. We were up about 6:30 and dressed out for a run. I saw that there was a Waterfall Trail nearby so off we went to check it out.
We arrived at the waterfall and although small, it would be a great plunge on a warm stunner day.
And with sound…
Then we went through some big rocks.
The train continued on. It was just gorgeous out.
At 2.25 miles the trail ended at a road.
The road took us back to the campground, another mile and an quarter away. We arrived back safe but with wet shoes. Here are the stats:
Showers, breakfast, and packing were next on the agenda. We decided to head back to Pittsburgh the quickest way and that was Hwy 19 north to I-79 and then through Pittsburgh. It took about 3 hours, and that’s with a gas stop, averaging 74 MPH.
It was a 222 mile day.
Once I got the bike unpacked, everything from the clothes bag went into the washer. What wasn’t wet and muddy stank like the rest so I’ll restart with all clean. That’s about it.
